Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the Curious Traveler LLC (“us”, “we”, or “our”) website (“Site”).

By using or accessing the Site, you agree to accept and comply with these Terms and those in our Privacy Policy.   We might occasionally update or change the Terms.  We will endeavor to notify our users if we do so, if you do not opt out of notifications or otherwise restrict our methods of communicating with you.  By continuing to use the Site and our services after the changes, you agree to be bound by the new Terms.

Becoming a Curious Traveler

1. Must be 18 Years Old:  In order to use our Site, create a profile, and use our services, you must be at least 18 years old.  
2. Creating an Account. In order to use Curious Traveler (and all associated Services), you should create or have an existing email account or alternatively you may use Facebook to join.  If you use your pre-existing login, you will authorize us to access and use the public information you have shared on your other accounts, such as, but not limited to, email address, profile pictures and Facebook friends.
3. Duration of Your Agreement and Termination:  This agreement is binding on you for the entire time you have a profile/account and utilize our services.  You may terminate your account at any time for any reason.  We reserve the right to suspend your account without notice if we believe you have not followed or if you breach these Terms.  
4. Personal Information and Security.  Please read our Privacy Policy which covers this topic in great detail.
5. Terminating Your Account:  You can terminate your account at any time.  We will process your request in a reasonable and prompt manner but ensure no further payments (if applicable) will be processed effective immediately upon your request.  

Code of Conduct as a Curious Traveler

We want to keep our community safe and pleasant for everyone, so there are rules you must follow in regards, but not limited to, postings, pictures and information sharing.

1. Users are not allowed to create accounts or profiles for anyone but themselves (no third-party account creation).  
2. You are only allowed to utilize your account/profile for the advertised and listed services set forth in these Terms, any other use, for any reason, is unauthorized.  
3. You are not allowed to communicate with other users in a way which bullies, harasses, intimidates, or otherwise is designed or intended to be harmful (whether physically or psychologically).  
4. You are only allowed to post content you have permission or the lawful right to use.  
5. Do not post any material that is illegal, discriminatory, obscene, pornographic, or racist.

Your License to Curious Traveler Regarding Your Content

When using our Site, you have the option to post pictures, provide links, communicate with other Travelers.  There is a wide variety of ways you might do these things.  We caution you that in doing so, you hereby authorize Curious Traveler to utilize this information/pictures/etc for any legal reason and such use by Curious Traveler does not create a right for it to compensate you in any way, whether monetarily or otherwise.  

Safety

You are solely responsible for all communications and interactions with other users and must take necessary precautions if deciding to meet other users in person.

Links To Other Web Sites

Our Site contains links to third-party vendors, user posted links, and sites that are not owned or controlled by Curious Traveler.  We do not assume responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, performance, or practices of any third-party web sites or services.

By your use of this Site, you agree that Curious Traveler shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such web sites or services.  You should check each third-party website’s own Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policies.

Payment

Depending on how you utilize Curious Travelers’ services, you might be charged a fee.  

Any fees or charges paid by you are final and non-refundable.

Site Maintenance

At various times our Site may undergo maintenance or require repairs/updates.  While we will endeavor to notify our users of these things it will not always be possible.  Curious Traveler is not liable for any damages, claims or any other reason if the Site is unavailable.  

Your Obligation to Defend and Indemnify Curious Traveler

Curious Traveler is not responsible for your violations of any laws, regulations or ordinance, your participation in anything that may violate these terms or your use or misuse of this website, whether online or offline.  We are not responsible for any content or information you share or provide, nor are we responsible for the possible consequences.  You agree to indemnify and hold Curious Traveler harmless from any suits or claims made against us as relates to your usage of our Site, whether direct or indirect.  You will pay all legal fees, costs and expenses associated with such suits or claims.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of July 16, 2022.
